People making thousands from X payouts

Obv not the same, more barriers etc — but can’t really say web2 platforms take 100% of value created from UGC. And the payout screenshots are great marketing

I see it as a crack in the wall or something symbolic like that

Seems to me, they are sweating a bit. We haven’t seen overt advertising to end users from a behemoth like X in a while. 

This shows weakness, imo. 

A desperate move— having seen a few turns ahead users aren’t coming there and seek something that’s not just $$
