I've only tried latch hooking. Do you find there to be a big difference in the time it takes or the final product?

With tufting it's pretty fast. Depends on how complicated and large your design is. This piece is about 40x40cm and took me about 3 hours. Not sure the steps for finishing a latch hook rug, but with tufting you need to let the glue set for about 24hrs then you can add the backing. The tufting gun is quite fun!

Thanks for the breakdown. I'm not a fast with a latch hook. I'll check this out.
