as I said, these speakers were the absolute pits but I was quite intrigued by the Lampizator DAC (on the floor to the right) as it had a very analog-like quality. @woj.eth will also be interested to know that it’s handmade in Poland! very cool boutique company run by a fellow named Lukasz Fikus.

Burmester is the opposite of a boutique company and makes sound systems for both hi-fi as well as car audio for Bugatti, Porsche, Mercedes, and many others. their casework is always polished silver and resolutely stoic, like a Greek temple. they are known for making some of the best solid-state gear in the world, but even their basic integrated amp (on the floor to the left) is $36k USD. six figures (each) for their bigger components.
