Has anyone done a community airdrop with a lockup? If not, why is that? Seems like it would solve a lot of problems. Even professional long term investors can’t keep their finger off the trigger w/o a lockup mechanism. Can’t expect airdrop recipients. Can combine immediately liquidity with a linear vest (eg every block to avoid cliffs impacting market price)

if you only want community contributors to have the token, locking up isn't a solution imo. as you want them to use your token, they're the early holders/users. see degen/higher massive airdrops doesn't make sense and a lockup wouldn't solve much. it's a short-term attention mechanism. but airdropping by seasons based on participation in the platfrom/protocol makes more sense to me if you only rely in an airdrop to get attention, you already know pmf is out of scope. have a product, distribute to a few ones, create pmf, and others will buy in

Seasons make sense but I also think you can accomplish a similar outcome making some of the airdrop liquid immediately but leaving most of it on a lockup. Aligns users with the project in a long term way, and you’re not making your users continuously dance for unknown amounts of financial incentive
