Why do apps drop points rather than an onchain token?

Feels mid to me. Just drop the token and give people skin in the game for real asap

they are just playing it safe:

- testing out the system
- seeing what works, changing the dynamics
- then minting it

A good way is to make points onchain, sort of 'pre-token' that has more flexibility and room for mistakes, while at the same time benefiting from all the onchain properties.
