Maybe we could encourage people to cast more about what their bookish interests are and what kind of reader they are.

It may feel out off place because right now the focus is very much on the books themselves, but even recommendations can become more meaningful when you know who is behind the recommendation.

I'm a big reader, both for work and for pleasure, so summing it up is difficult.

For work - anything that gives me knowledge in a simple format or that expands my way of thinking.

For pleasure - anything that takes me to another world that I can get lost and absorbed into.
