Been watching web3 music solutions for a while now. I'm starting to think the big opportunity isn't recreating Spotify onchain. But building up a new catalogue that can go toe to toe with the big labels. Imagine a DePin network for musicians that provides IRL infra for recording and publishing. Bring the cost of production to zero for everyone Aligned players collectively own the network, the catalogue grows in value over time. It's basically a RWA. The DAO licences the catalogue to Spotify, the rest of tech and every other third party. Cashflow for tokenholders + DeFi = independent artists eat
