Probably not. There's good evidence to suggest that happiness is a reduction in thoughts in the brain. In a common view of intelligence, this would suggest that intelligence is counter to happiness, since intelligence = more thoughts. But i don't think that's quite right either.

Intelligence likely isn't related to volume of thought but quality. How well the road is built rather than the number of cars driving down it. Intelligence is how much you know, and how well you know it. When you learn something, the brain literally makes "grooves" (stronger connections). The road is improved.

But you can still have a traffic-jam of thoughts and this creates unhappiness. There’s also action in the world, which is an important dimension for both intelligence and happiness.
