Crypto fundraising stands at $101 billion since 2014 (DeFiLlama data). Coinbase Ventures leads with 443 investments since 2017, about 4% of all deals. Animoca and Outlier Ventures follow in second and third. Crypto VC investment rose to $2.5b in Q1 this year, up from $1.9 billion in Q4 2023. This increase brought billion-dollar valuations for startups like Farcaster, Berachain, and Hidden Road Partners.

AI discourse on twitter be like... It feels like there's a large divergence in perceptions at the moment. Some people saying "OpenAI abandoned AI safety, that's proof AI safety is NGMI", some other people saying "OpenAI abandoned AI safety, that's proof OpenAI is NGMI". And I'm sure OpenAI itself has a different view

What are the "DePIN" projects that people think are most likely to actually work? It feels like the category is a new name for something that's been around for a decade (StorJ, various decentralized ubers...) but has never gotten off the ground? Binance is losing spot trading market share. Its dominance dropped from 65.6% at the start of the year to 43% now. Major beneficiaries: - OKx 4.1% -> 11% market share - Bybit 1.1% -> 9.4% - Upbit 3.5% -> 7.1%

Ethereum is lagging behind BTC but things will change because: - Grayscale ETH to ETH discount is closing to 20% - ETH ETF speculation will start - Eigenlayer + LRT will bring 25% APY to ETH - Cancun upgrade with Danksharding coming H1 next year. Bullish.
