do you think solana the network could be ever shut down if US regulators decided to turn against solana labs?

the code is open source, anyone can pick up the code and run with it, and there are so many copies of the state that its virtually guaranteed that at least one replica will survive. So if the users want to they can always continue no matter what happens to labs. So what does shutdown mean in this context?

wasn't provocative, i'm just curious how you approach this topic, im coming from the eth side of things where people overpay for security and overfit hardware reqs for raspberry pies do you think enough users right now run their own solana nodes for the network to be always available to transact with?

what's great, but a bit selfish, is that if ethereum or bitcoin succeed at being a cockroach, it forces the western world to figure out how to allow everything else to exit. I am building for a world where the free market democracies are aligned. If not, high performance chain is probably not needed
