We started raising @curated in late ‘21 with a view to build a world-class collection during the upcoming bear market.

As we prepare to enter the next bull market, we’re excited to share an update that we ultimately raised $50M and are mostly deployed.

We built the majority of the collection through the depths of the bear market with a focus on generative art, CryptoPunks, and 1/1 art.

Our curation was around high conviction collections/artists with a skew towards aesthetics, all while being price sensitive.

To showcase the collection with the best experience, we built our own gallery tool.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working to onboard our LPs into digital art through LP updates, private conversations with artists, and prints of works from the collection.

Of note, we’ve watched our LP Kanbas go from passive LP to being one of the world’s best collectors.

We want to continue being exceptional stewards over the next decade for the works we’ve collected while generating returns for our investors.

That means you’ll see us sell works as well as acquire more from artists/collections we’re excited about.
