A bold suggestion for @jacek & the $DEGEN community: $DEGEN tips should become $tDEGEN to differentiate them from liquid $DEGEN. (This would follow industry norms like AAVE’s aETH or “ve” for vested tokens, etc.) Just gave away 500K $DEGEN in a /yellow contest & many were asking “tips or tokens?” WDYT?

I get the frustration, and as moderator in the telegram group fielding all these questions time and time again, after 2+ months of 100 $DEGEN being the format, a change would be catastrophic 1. WHERE'S MY TIP!?!?! 2. apps that coded to say $DEGEN already 3. WHERE'S MY TIP!?!?! Mostly I think more education needed

I think people could pick it up pretty quickly. And Jacek could even make it so that both would work during a transition period. But yeah, not sure how much work it would be for devs to change their code. I still believe that changing bad UX is always the way and you shouldn’t avoid it just because of entropy.

totally agreed. My main objection to a change now is that 100 $DEGEN tipping is only for Airdrop 2. Airdrop 1 wasn't tipping; airdrop 3 won't be tipping. Airdrop 2 is 7.4 billion tokens, 1.48b of which already issued. So it's temporary. Changes midstream would cause more confusion Docs/education needed

I also think tipping is one of the strongest value propositions of $DEGEN and we should find a way to keep it relevant. I didn’t know it wouldn’t factor for Airdrop 3, not sure that’s the move tbh. Should lean into what’s working, and tipping is working.
