nouniswap: a simple front end that allows anyone who owns a noun (or coupon token for a noun, once developed) to browse all nouns currently in the treasury & submit a tx to swap for a different noun. Triggers a prop (or new consensus mech?) Obligatory “devs do something.”

Benefit: People with nouns they love (aesthetically) are probably more aligned, less likely to sell or fork. Allows anyone to gamify “trading up” to a better token # or aesthetic, while also acting as a practical way for “scouted” nouners to Choose their Character.

Absolutely love this. Game mechanic is wonderful, would be interesting if only eligible with specific interactions such as number of onchain votes submitted.

I’m thinking that there may be specific Noun behaviors that should we rewarded. And swapping feels like a privilege

I’m not sure I agree (about it being a privilege earned), I think the optionality could be an interesting perk of ownership. To me the ultimate grail is attracting nouners who identify deeply with their token, it’s the kind of alignment you can’t manufacture any other way.

Then again if the qualification steps are all fun “playing the game of nouns” things that are not overly difficult to accomplish, you’re right that could be fun. “You’ve unlocked SWAPS.”
