Names really matter. As a creator of onchain video content, Drakula should have been exciting to me, but… I didn’t even download it. Why? Because, respectfully, I think it’s a terrible name (and a worse meme.) Am I wrong?

Yeah also not great. I actually don’t mind TikTok in moderation and I thought the friend.tech was an interesting experiment if nothing else. But yeah ens spoofing, oof. And a name seems trivial maybe but when you sign up to use a new service you’re investing a lot of your own time too.

I haven’t even tried the app so this isn’t a comment on the development or the UX or anything. It’s just a very bad brand and name imo.

don't mind the name -- but yesterday it was great -- today the content is all too basic tik tok/IG so I'm hoping they get the algo fixed asap -- I just want to see the creators I'm following. That's the bigger issue imo

I tend to agree. But prob just as bad as “TikTok”, these things blow up. At least creators are rewarded now. As you know, I think we’re in some version of idiocracy, so the names are gonna get wilder.
Case in point:

TikTok is a much better name imo. I just don’t get the drakula thing at all from a branding perspective. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I wasn't excited by the name either, otherwise the app has been great so far.
I don't think it should be all or nothing. Hopefully the team is open to feedback on the name and meme from the community.

It’s an incredible idea and execution but needs an absolute overhaul in the branding department.  

If it launched on Halloween it may have been ok but I just don’t understand either.   Maybe it’s designed that way to keep people away until the rebrand.
