Yeah I do admit that it’s been jarring to see the casual joking from Americans on X and Reddit about the “51st state” aka threatening the sovereignty of a 150-year old (allied) nation state 🤷🏻‍♂️

The American ego can not comprehend what is happening north of us. Please know, at least half us still love you! (Probably more like 85% at this point)

I honestly think if Trump tried this he would be deposed either via impeachment/25th amendment or full on military coup. There's just no will among the overwhelming majority of Americans to invade a neighbor ally. 

That said, he does seem hell bent on economic warfare which is a major problem 😑
