post-reading jonathan haidt, time to play devil's advocate current web2 social: like/reply-performance algo -> increased unhealthy social comparison -> increased anxiety, polarization, depression the core design elements of most web3 social is $, which can bring out even worse in people and this is good? discuss :)

Both are really bad but I think web3 is worse since it financializes the whole thing. Look what happened here the last few months with tipping...worst imaginable shilling just to get more likes so they could get more tips. It was a perfect doom spiral when bots / greed was introduced competing with vanity and likes.
