1. Agree it’s hard for new users! But it’s always been hard for new users. We’re going to be adding “onboard directly to a channel” when joining Farcaster as the next big project for channels. 2. Channels as hashtags / topics did not work. We iterated for a year trying to make it work. 3. So we’re trying a new direction that is more like public group chats with a feed UX. 4. A reminder that casting in your home feed like Twitter is available to everyone.

I don’t even know where to start if I was going to bring a brand new user over to warpcast anymore. Feeling a bit defeated with the latest round of changes. For power users it’s a no brainer move but catering to power users is really the last thing wc needs to do. This place needs new people more than ever and now it’s harder than ever for them to join and understand everything.

1. Power users create the network that new users want to stick around on. 2. Invite a new user to one of your channels?

I am not making channels. I saw what happened to Google plus and how community mods destroyed the whole platform. I don’t want to be a part of that here. The megalomaniac channel mods will take over and this will turn into a microtransaction nightmare for anyone that wants to join. Begging and paying for access to channels just seems so backwards and not online with the ideas of permission-less crypto platform.
