They had to choose between KAT and Gobert, prob next year. Idea was that Naz pairs better with Gobert. Getting DDV as an heir to Conley was huge. So they pounced. Randle not a good fit, just made money work. I think they chose getting 3 years of title shot (adding DDV to Naz) vs 1 year title shot (keeping KAT).
