why not? this type of press is not bad press for them imho, especially given the people talking about are smart, high status, well-connected, and wealthy. if people think its elon, then yes you lose trust in the market. but they don't think its elon.

This is a massive jump. If people think the reason it’s moving is not due to some “real” happening but rather due to some technical ways people are trying to game the prediction markets themselves, then it makes the markets feel more like a game and less like truth. (The latter is more interesting)
