I sometimes hear skepticism that Juneteenth was "imposed" by white people who feel "white guilt". But data (eg below) suggests strongly that it's driven by black community itself Imo that is awesome, bc the holiday is authentic and educative, not patronizing (NB: data here is from before Juneteenth was a fed holiday)
