my shortlist of tips for creators – summarizing from my presentation on the @phaverapp creator call this afternoon. 1. don’t silo yourself to one network – decentralized social is growing and different networks and their respective platforms attract different kinds of users. using tools like phaver that let you access more than one network helps you expand your reach. 2. vary your strategy by network – different networks and apps have different audiences. take some time to get to know them so you can adapt what you post. for instance, one might be better for text-based discussion while another is more suited to visuals. 3. above all, be consistent – the more consistent you are with creating valuable content and showing up regularly (though don’t forget to take mental health breaks), the more consistently your account will grow. valuable content is something that will add to and improve someone’s day, whether it’s helpful, inspiring, unique, beautiful, or thought-provoking. if you ca…

4. share different types of content – people often follow you because they are interested in you as a person, so feel free to share different facets within your niche, such as commentary on current trends, work in progress, other content by people who inspire you. 5. be open to (and create) opportunities – one of the best ways to grow your account is to find opportunities that help expose you to a wider audience. look for open calls or contests, or reach out to other creators to see if they want to collaborate with you. this is also a great chance to make friends in the space. 6. show your authentic, genuine self – share your successes, but also share your failures. often, the content that resonates the most is not overly polished. people can tell when you’re being true to yourself and your passions. 💜
