Years ago, I went to an event and the rule was... Go start/join a conversation but you can't introduce yourself by what you do—no companies or titles allowed. It seemed so simple but I was stuck. I realized how much of my identity was tied to work. That's why I burned out. So, what are you passionate about? What do you wake up thinking about? What's something you've always wanted to try?

I'm usually the opposite - I just like being an awkward dork So I usually just introduce myself as "a dork" or "madi's husband" lol

I find passion is something that condenses into the resin which holds personality in its disparate monads as we age, a sort of glassy starter kit which others can grok without too much exposition. Passion gets harder to find for me as I age, but those motivations are more solid and integrated. I am still an idiot though, a curious mostly good natured one but an idiot never the less...
