Do you see the current state of many chains (L2 & L1) being abstracted away for the average end user? If so, which pieces of the puzzle do you think are critical and/or missing? Where do you see Base fitting?

Awesome article! Unified liquidity is probably the main issue we must solve on l2s. I think altlayer is going to the right direction on this with MACH. Also Espresso will be probably the tech that will provide l2<>l2 cross txs.
