When DAUs plateaued end of June, @macbudkowski and I implemented key delegation to improve the user experience for @kiwi. But adding it to the protocol wasn't sufficient. It involved tons of changes in the UI to integrate it into the onboarding and to make it all seamless.

We felt helpless and like needing to take responsibility over what was happening. So in a great effort we did the following:

- Move to OP
- Integrate delegation right into the NFT checkout process
- Lower our NFT's price from $100s to $10s

I think it's now safe to say ... 2/

To the point that we almost thought it didn't matter! Maybe delegation wasn't the right way? 

However, these features have to be taken all the way! You have to put on the "Apple UX" glasses and think for yourself: Where am I routine-blinded? What doesn't make sense here yet?

I think for us it was when we removed the need to connect wallets (as the delegated key kept users logged in). 

That, and lowering the costs to minting dramatically (also the gas costs on OP), make some difference.

I think it's now safe to say we moved the needle. Additionally, it helped that Farcaster had a boom and us being deeply embedded in the community.

It sounds trivial but lowering friction in your app and measuring results does work. 

But it took a really long time for us to get delegation right, to the point... 3/
