Ugh, I'm not sure what his position is on the Ukraine war but that thread devolved into a pro-Putin circle jerk pronto. Even that David Sachs useful idiot chipped in. I've always been pretty critical of the US and its wars but this war is not it. It is pretty easy to be on the right side of history for this one.

I think the main point of Bitcoiners in this regard is: If the government would have to sell war bonds to citizens and those determined the actual war budget, e.g. they cannot happily print USD and inflate the tax payer's funds to fund the war, then how many would they actually be fighting and how long 1/2

A good example of this is e.g. one PATRIOT system costs $1B. This and the Russian oil embargo is obviously inflationary and we all pay it by our purchasing power going away.
