In regards to writing autonomous, unstoppable software, IMO this is fair. Or else: How are we keeping people accountable if after deployment anything goes?

Privacy is contextual integrity and so e.g. a Tornado Cash including a "Know your customer" could have allowed users from breaking transaction trails while being fully compliant (my interpretation, at least). It's important to understand that being pro privacy doesn't mean you need to be a maximalist

It's a complex topic, and I believe that for progress that leads to wider adoption, a middle ground that causes the least harm is the right path. Privacy can also support safety, so I understand the desire for maximum privacy. The court is prioritizing what I view as national security over personal/financial safety.
