In the Olympics they have banned performance enhancing drugs because it would probably defeat the point of the sport if people just maxed out on the science of enhancing their performance through better drug use rather than maximizing their training effectiveness. Peter Thiel, on the other hand, wanted to create a performance-enhancing drug Olympics league. I wonder if online discussions now face the same dilemma where a basic argumentation method is pointless in the face of O3-level AI, where the opponent can always fry your arguments with way less work and also causing you way more effort to respond. Maybe this is why we already see walkntalk videos. Because unless you're willing to spend a ton of money and effort on trying to persuade the other person through a slightly better use of AI, then there's really no point in adding arguments at a certain point because you can't tell whether someone is genuinely trying to seek truth or whether they are just trying to game-theoretically beat you through tools
