I don't know why you're so surprised. Can you name one project that succeeded without incentives? also, don't put all those tokens in the same basket, as those three have different contexts

I was talking about the memecoins you mentioned, not farcaster the protocol but in warpcast you do have a passive financial incentives, which is getting these tokens based on your contributions (casts)

I think it'd, however, be wrong to admit your criticism of my post, namely that all projects need incentives. This is most likely true, but the token incentives of Ethereum function well, and those of Degen and other tipping tokens... they don't

they actually do, you're seeing them as just tipping (whereas higher is not a tipping token) degen, for example, is used by all consumer apps built on top of farcaster went from tips, to be a gas token on its own chain and an ecosystem payment token for apps
