The Tiergarten in Berlin has become one of my favorite parks and running tracks. Even though the longest (good) loop is only 4.3km, repeating it six times somehow doesn't feel overly repetitive. And today I learned that it has a long and fascinating history, and most of the trees there today are under 80 years old.

I used to run a lot in Berlin and there is actually a very scenic route connecting north Berlin and the canals. I could be a bit difficult to navigate if you don't know exactly where to go next, but I can highly recommend if you go e.g. with a local. Should be around 20km

@vitalik.eth When I was training for the Marathon a few years ago I had to do 35km runs and I found it kinda difficult to find a spot where I could do it without too many interruptions from crossing roads. But in the north I nicely found the Saatwinkler Damm which is just a reeeeaaallly long road without many crossings

My main problem is that I really really dislike traffic lights in the middle of a route; it completely kills the rhythm

That’s actually a great route! I use to do it also by bike and Weg Bier. Good ole times indeed
