Founder /kiwi-news, a decentralized Hacker News

Agree with the thesis. Twitter is problematic for many reasons, but the issue here was the very choice of platform for communication. Its very nature makes it so it cannot help regulate, just as WC can’t. 

Curious to know more about how kiwi fits here. How do you see shaping /kiwi-news to better serve this goal?

1. Admittedly, with /kiwi-news, we are a bit attention disadvantaged when compared to Twitter and FC. Our content is mostly information or education. And then it is also not catered specifically to keep you in an app or to make you scroll longer. Instead the community works together to create one feed for all.

3. I'm not exactly sure how we can do this, but one idea we've been playing around with is that we onboard friends of existing Kiwi users and by making the Kiwi News Pass transferrable, so that it'll be more used.

2. I think we went from zero to one with /kiwi-news though. It has comments and a small community that has demonstrated the concept to work. Yet, we don't have enough users and so this also makes the product worse. To work further towards the above stated goal we have to grow the community.
