Last week, Ethereum L1 client, research, testing and devops teams gathered for Nyota ✨, a week long interop event focused on Pectra, PeerDAS and Verkle. We also hosted a first of its kind community event for African builders. Here's a full recap 😄! https://blog.ethereum.org/2024/05/22/nyota-interop-recap

Frontier Africa drew over 350 local attendees from across the continent for a day of exchanging with L1 contributors about the Ethereum roadmap, paths to becoming a core dev, building applications for African users & more. https://x.com/yosephayele/status/1789388435666468910

During the week, we had our largest interop devnet to date, with nearly all client pairs running the Pectra devnet-0 spec. We had two new clients join, Grandine and Reth, meaning even more pairwise combinations 😅

The EF devops team came prepared: their infra allowed us to build more than 100 devnets throughout the week. A few years ago, we thought it was a huge success to build *one* at the end of five days!

We also made significant progress on PeerDAS and Verkle: the former went from one prototype to multi-client devnets in the week, and on the latter we've ironed out a ton of spec open questions 😄

Huge thanks to everyone who made this week possible, from the borderless.africa team who got us to commit to Kenya & organize Frontiers, to testing/devops/specs that laid the groundwork for everyone to be productive, and everyone who flew across the world to work on all of this 🙏
