Are there industries outside of crypto with a larger gap between the cluster of most cutting edge novel technical work and bottom of the barrel scamminess?

Some serious technical/product innovation and also a lot of grifty vaporware

building /royalpatron, data lover, jpeg collector. ex-data science at warby parker 

I think the worst of crypto is worse than worst of AI at this point, but I can def see that changing quickly!

Definitely fair. Currently, I see good AI cluster better than good crypto cluster, but can also see that changing quickly
