I see still don’t quite understand why people are voting for L1 gas option here… my gut feeling is that they don’t get the big picture but I find a poll on farcaster to be mostly very informed voters. Leads me to believe there is something I am missing from this perspective. Slot times was the vote I expected.

It's gonna take a long time to build out the full L2 narrative (cross chain interop, ux in wallets, etc). Raising the gas limit seems like a decent trade off until that world is realized. Especially with proof of work era state pruning it should be fine. Small validators should still be OK.
