If someone had a few days to go from 0-100 on Obsidian, how should they go about it? Assume familiarity with Asana/Notion/Jira/etc. but they've never used Obsidian. Main use cases are project management/tracking, CRM, knowledge base, etc. All pretty "canonical", nothing crazy.

Don't overthink it. Just start writing and creating [[Links]] between ideas, people, places, books, etc. Obsidian is extremely flexible. Make it conform to your way of thinking, don't feel the need conform to someone else's method. With that caveat here's the way I use it: https://stephango.com/vault

i wouldnā€™t over engineer it. treat it like youā€™re using notepad or a simple markdown text editor and go from there :) i do think it excels more as a personal note taking app vs something more feature rich like notion i use both

i started using it as a simple notepad. over time you can slowly integrate its many features. also downloading the minimal theme by @kepano was helpful in creating an interface that didnā€™t immediately overwhelm me. https://minimal.guide/home

there are some great guides on how to build your personal knowledge graph. Check out Maggie Appletonā€™s work on gardening, and PKM as a search term
