#engcaster, assuming you had no special constraints beyond meeting a baseline level of quality, how quickly could you actually rebuild the bridge? assume the goal is be long term reliable/no cut corners, but not cutting edge or anything, and we are still bound by things like supply chains, weather, materials, etc.

my sense, knowing literally nothing about bridge, is that it should be physically doable in “months”? how far off is that? how long is 10 years relative to what it “should” take?
