One of the things Iāve experienced with clanker that makes me most excited is when jokes naturally and organically lead to tokens. The problem with launchpads is ultimately every token comes from one person going hmmm whatās a good ticker, whatās a good cartoon image. There is an effort to create a meme token. Deep down, that effort is cringe and I think we sort of all know that Itās why all of the tokens follow certain trends and types. People are referential by nature, they imitate Communities talking with each other, me trying to make @zinger or @alexgrover.eth laugh, @clankerintern.eth doing bits, thatās just the best shit online. Everyone does it, zero constraints, no āformsā or ācat themed tokensā category to follow. All the thought boy shit goes away. At best, clankers come without pretense from people doing bits with their friends. It should just feel like posting

I don't think this is an inherent aspect of "launchpads" -- every joke on the internet organically gets instantly tokenized on pumpfun, same effect you describe i do think the social context around the joke leading to the token is what makes clanker special though, just not sure it has to do with launchpads as a form factor maybe we agree tho and its just semantic differences

Meme tokens have become a medium for spreading news. Unlike pump fun, the memes on Clanker disseminate native content from Farcaster, often launched by the creators themselves. In contrast, the content found on pump fun offers no benefits to the content creators.
