One of the things I’ve experienced with clanker that makes me most excited is when jokes naturally and organically lead to tokens. The problem with launchpads is ultimately every token comes from one person going hmmm what’s a good ticker, what’s a good cartoon image. There is an effort to create a meme token. Deep down, that effort is cringe and I think we sort of all know that It’s why all of the tokens follow certain trends and types. People are referential by nature, they imitate Communities talking with each other, me trying to make @zinger or @alexgrover.eth laugh, @clankerintern.eth doing bits, that’s just the best shit online. Everyone does it, zero constraints, no “forms” or “cat themed tokens” category to follow. All the thought boy shit goes away. At best, clankers come without pretense from people doing bits with their friends. It should just feel like posting

Feel like posting my sincere opinions on this shit is probably risky to some degree because I’ll say stuff that some people might take the wrong way But I can’t stop, I don’t want to do this if I have to pretend to be someone I’m not

i didnt even think much, @ox-crypto.eth made it, i found it funny, ape. not sure of the lore for other wow coins, but all seemed rather cultureless so it stood out. i’m building @alfaca so learning what makes people feel bullish about some coins - any tips identifying good ones would be appreciated!

I don't think this is an inherent aspect of "launchpads" -- every joke on the internet organically gets instantly tokenized on pumpfun, same effect you describe i do think the social context around the joke leading to the token is what makes clanker special though, just not sure it has to do with launchpads as a form factor maybe we agree tho and its just semantic differences

I’m starting to understand the mindset. It’s true, at its core, during a casual discussion, a mention of @clanker, a token is born, and what happens next doesn’t really matter. The market takes care of everything if it’s a success, the fees can be pure profit to share with frens or motivation to grow the thing!

So essentially what you're saying is people middle curve it by over thinking, and that impulse more often than not results in something that blends in with everything else out there and gets lost.

I think that’s what makes Clanker unique, it exists on Farcaster, where even memes are born from free expression, playful jokes, and genuine, fun interactions. Hope more people come for the CA, but they stay for the community vibe.

@salvino was the first one to put me onto this insight > All the thought boy shit goes away. this is why market economies win over command economies bullish on the memeing with frens category

I'm sorry I thought the sniper was your team. It didn't make sense thinking that but I went along with the mob. You guys are doing an amazing job expanding the base ecosystem and bringing heaps of volume to the chain. It's Great! When @clanker comes back online I'd like to play also. Thank you.
