Dilemma is developers are waiting for more local users and local users are waiting for a client.

imho it just needs to be localized opencast https://github.com/stephancill/opencast w/o overlapping channels.

not sure if developers need to wait for more local users, or if local users just need a starting point for guerilla marketing.

unless you're saying that warpcast should be the landing page for every farcaster

It’s also very hard to onboard local users considering they have already been used to Web2 social apps. The challenge is bigger than persuading people to use Bitcoin.
