selling workers on the idea of unpaid work in the hope of a potential future return has been the capitalist wet dream for a few decades. now that folks can invent money (which they get to pay to themselves too), the propaganda will become more and more prevalent.

I didn’t see this angle from Jesse’s words originally. But I agree, anywhere this can potentially lead to any sort of exploitation definitely shouldn’t be celebrated.

Yeah I think it is a strongly critical reading for sure. One which is not explicitly connoted. I think Josh is rightly critical of those who use the language of opportunity to sort of propagandize unpaid labour that benefits in an outsized way the capital owners far more than those receiving some relatively…

…and that’s the key word in all critiques of capitalism, “relatively” small reward for their contributions. And a point I was trying to make is that people need to remember the value of these airdrops comes from other people bolstering the valuation by buying into the token. So in a way it’s a transfer…
