Just read Debt: the First 5000 Years by David Graeber and I’ve loved. Anthropological nonfiction, similar to Sapiens but far more engaging. Can definitely recommend.

Born a Crime by Trevor Noah is an incredibly funny (if you can believe it) look at apartheid South Africa. Very prescient. I recommend it to everyone. Get the audiobook though. It’s read by him, and he is hilarious in it, and you can either do that on its own or read the book while listening.

Another interesting book I read recently was 23 Things They Don’t Tell You About Capitalism which was such a nice little (pro-capitalist believe it or not) book about the flaws of neoliberal economics. Lots of case studies and history but in snack sized bites.
