The complete bad faith takes coming out now are hilarious. Trump is not a martyr and he's not an anomaly. These folks literally stormed the capital and tried to hang the vice president. They tried to kidnap and presumably kill Gretchen Whitmer. And they tried to kill Pelosi, injuring her husband with a hammer. And that's just internal, below is a great reminder that political violence is the name of the game for the US.

This is why mainstream media is at its lowest with no hope of returning to it’s previous glory and Trump is absolutely killing it, even on the stock market. 📈

Can you clarify what you’re trying to say? Specifically, can you explain the relation of what I said to your conclusion?

All media is simply propaganda designed to manipulate the masses. Schools are factories for indoctrination. We are indentured servants with the illusion of freedom. I hope that is what he means!

I agree at least in part. Like most US companies in general (and one might argue, all companies period), so-called news companies are incentivized to lie and manipulate. It almost goes without saying that no media can be trusted under capitalism because the incentives are misaligned. Citizen journalism would have saved us but they invented deepfakes just in time to ensure we could never know what’s true such that we would have to form tribes and listen only to our chosen media echo chamber. Still, sharing knowledge following some standards is incredibly valuable to society. We will just need better tools to verify. And as I wrote in another post, the real secret is just to remove the centralized power. Then we don’t need to trust, agree, or submit to any politician or corporation.

Yeah, or get rid of capitalism. A classic SNL skit from the 80s was pulled. See if I can find it. It is pretty well-detailed. Why can't you trust any media to report anything we can trust? https://vimeo.com/93040968 The fact alone is that if the government wants to hide anything, it redacts and deems national security, even if it's violating the constitution, like in Snowden's case, ensuring no whistle-blower will ever come forward again.
