Yeah. Years ago I saw one of the conspiracies about it and I asked our municipality if it was in there and if they could explain why to a skeptic like me and they said “we don’t fluoridate the water. Most of Canada doesn’t. It’s not proven to have a significant benefit.”

Also spoke to a dental hygienist about it and they said it doesn’t make any sense to fluoridate water. You need long contact to strengthen enamel. This was a professional who is very pro-fluoridated dental products.

That’s what I understood. Better to apply directly than to consume

My understanding is that all the people without fluoridated tap water still get sufficient fluoride (whether through chewing tablets, tooth paste, treatments at the dentist). I could be convinced that adding it to water is not sufficiently worth it.
