Odds are good she would have done exactly the same thing. She raised a ton from AIPAC and JStreet. I’m not saying she would be worse than Trump, and never have made that obviously foolish claim. But the statement that she was pro-war and would have continued to allow the expansionist military actions by Israel, was true, so this particular gotcha is a dud.

Fair enough. Again I wasn’t suggesting Trump and Harris are the same, merely that on this issue, I don’t expect, given that she was Vice President through one of the most publicized and actively publicly opposed genocides in history that she was on track to make some sudden sanctions of her own. But I guess we can’t say for sure.

I’m not saying she was better. I’m saying there is nuance and sometimes when the only options are bad and worse you vote for bad so worse doesn’t get in. Which is what happened.

In the end it doesn’t seem that people voting for someone (left) other than Harris so much as people voting for Trump explicitly and spoiled ballots. I still say the only people to blame here are the democrats for running a candidate that even their own party voters didn’t want. So much money, and so many narratives were directed at forcing through Harris belligerently. It seems to have backfired. So I agree but I think the nuance is who you seem to be directing this critique at. Maybe I’m misreading it but as with many times before, it feels like you blame the green voters, who could not have swung the votes back to Harris. I recommend actively pressuring the DNC to pick candidates you feel confident in. It’s not unlikely that if you do, others will too.

There’s enough blame to go around. But I had to sit in /politics in the run up to the election and listen to nihilist super left people who were voting for Jill stein like some sort of kamikaze mission to explode the sun. So I’m gonna take every chance I get to ask them how their much their green agenda is going to get advanced for the next 4 years. I at least understand Trump voters. Their idiots. It’s easy. Green voters (in this circumstance) I don’t understand
