Trying to write a newsletter for June that’s optimistic with solarpunk and protoptian messaging, but the world is so intense right now, it feels like the more intellectually honest piece would be lunarpunk-themed. I worry though that writing negative content exclusively is hurting my readership. Thoughts?

Long term your honest thoughts probably are more likely to stick with people.

Oh to be clear both would be my honest thoughts. I don’t sculpt my content to be what people want to hear. What I more meant was that optimism doesn’t feel befitting of the moment. But that too much negativity may push away readers diminishing my overall ability to add to discourse. Am I overthinking things?

Probably overthinking but I agree it's challenging... I think maybe it's not all optimism that's out of place at the moment though. Revolutionary optimism, hope for paradigm shifts. Trying to incorporate hard questions like having to overcome fascism and imperialism to get to any real solarpunk future.
