Even though I don’t think the term “decentralized” accurately describes most DeSo and open web projects, yet— speaking of course of Bluesky/ATProto, Mastodon/ActivityPub, Nostr, Lens, and Farcaster, with emphasis on the former, more well-known projects —the fact that the word decentralization is entering the zeitgeist with a positive connotation, and articles are being written by mainstream journalistic outlets about “the importance of decentralization,” is a step in the right direction.
