i think it’s masterful distraction strategy that we’re discussing immigrants in Ohio eating pets as some abstract definition of racism instead of focusing on the *actual* issues caused by an unchecked border (national security and debt, employment, healthcare), and i think we’re all foolish to be falling for it.

That's absolutely ridiculous, nobody wants poor and disabled people to die. The fact that you would say something that extreme just shows you don't have any valid counter arguments so you make an appeal to emotions instead. There would be way less poor people without a government destroying the currency and economy. Also it's not like throughout history that nobody except the government has taken care of poor and disabled people. If people weren't getting robbed via taxes they would probably be even more generous to the charities that help people in need then they already are. Also private charities are more effective at reducing any fraud then the government is, so only people that really need help would get it.
