ahhh you could legit just get in a board and feel your way around the water. that’s how i learned — taught myself at 12/13 and surfed religiously until about 28. find a mushy swell on a sand break w no coral or rock (may be tough in au) but if you can…you can do learn by yourself :)

problem is i go to australia when it is winter and water is freezing. Also take into account that if i fall into the water i might get eaten by a shark 😂
