Just had another instance of a Grab driver not picking me up and heading in the opposite direction because he didnā€™t want to incur the penalty for canceling the booking himself. Of course he was unresponsive over text & call Annoying to cancel a legit booking several minutes in. Itā€™s getting harder to rely on Grab

I think thereā€™s imbalance of supply via demand. I doubt thereā€™s enough drivers relative to the demand idk. It just seems especially problematic in SG. Ride hailing in China is god-like.

China is going through deflation. Almost everything has abundant supply vs lowering demand thus customers have great experience w/ even lower price. Quite the opposite w/ largely rest of the world šŸ˜‚

Definitely too few drivers, at both peak and off-peak hours. I canā€™t even get the more expensive Grab Premium. Which goes back to a problem of incentives. Iā€™d be willing to pay more (and for Grab to compensate drivers more, and attract more drivers) for reliability. But thatā€™s not even an option
