All the toys are getting sold. Great time to buy. I regularly track inventory at a local store and they basically haven't bought anything new for almost a year, and all their current inventory is getting discounted. This is why I don't overpay for watches (Rolex) and try to stick to precious metals. In a downturn, the toys get sold first and fast. Seeing a lot of jetskis and motorcycles for sale on the side of the road too.

I know you’re a big fan of precious metal watches. Personally always waiting for a big downturn to scoop some. Like precious metal watches (esp yellow or rose gold) but not a fan of many precious metal watches other than some datejusts

Well my issue is I don't think they'll ever go down at this price versus the dollar. I am lusting over some steel watches as the price comes down (IWC Ingeneuir if I can sell off my Cartier Santos), but I just like the margin of safety with gold. There's some gems out there that aren't fully gold, where you have leather. I mean hell look at this beauty that's gold plated. Can also look at real gold options on the vintage side.
