AMA about the EF, I'll answer whatever I can!

Besides the perfect, on-point Asimov name, I actually like the idea. Changing a culture is extremely difficult, so I'd rather see a "Second Foundation" emerge with a totally different culture to complement the "First Foundation" (instead of replacing it). 

It would be a lot more bullish Ethereum than trying to change the current EF! If I could dream, I'd even say that the First Foundation should be funding the Second Foundation by granting it a fraction (half?) of its ETH.

That would be so cool... and so bullish Ethereum!

If I continue dreaming, I'd love to see actors with strong skin-in-the-game like Tetranode, @nick, @lex-node  etc... be a part of this Second Foundation.

It would further decentralization, while respecting what the First EF is doing and has already accomplished... and without trying to completely overhaul the culture of the First EF (which I think would be very hard, painful and could fail... and might not even be necessary in the first place!).

IMV there are already many second foundations

@ethglobal is a second foundation, for developer onboarding
@argotorg.eth is a second foundation, for solidity / EVM / tooling
Nomic Foundation is a second foundation, for devtooling / compilers
@protocolguild is a second foundation, for funding core development

And there are more coming online soon, and should be more in the future too. We are actively trying to help bring them into existence and funding them.
